Stop Congress from killing the Iran talks!

Right now, our diplomats and P5+1 allies are in Vienna working tirelessly to reach a verifiable deal to keep Iran from getting nuclear weapons. Unfortunately, here at home, two prominent hawks in Congress are gathering forces to tie our negotiators’ hands and put undue strain on the already difficult talks.

Please take two minutes to call your Senator and say, “Give diplomacy a chance. Do NOT sign the Menendez-Graham letter.”

Senators Bob Menendez (D-NJ) and Lindsey Graham (R-SC) are circulating a letter in the Senate pushing for tough lines and zero compromises on the Iran deal. What’s more, they have the support of powerful lobbyists who are flooding the Hill asking Senators to sign the dangerous letter. That’s why it’s so important that your Senators hear from you! As nuclear non-proliferation expert Daryl Kimball explained, “The letter could be interpreted in ways that call for outcomes that are not in the cards and could be deal-killers.”

Senators are deciding whether or not to sign this dangerous letter TODAY, and so it’s imperative that you call your Senators NOW!

Call by using this special toll-free* number: 1-855-68 NO WAR (1-855-686-6927). This number will connect you with the Capitol Switchboard operator, and you should ask to be connected to one of your Senator’s offices. Introduce yourself as a constituent, and then explain that you urge them to NOT sign the Menendez-Graham letter on Iran. Once you’re done, call the number again to connect with your other Senator.

Sample Script:
“Hi I’m ______ and I’m a constituent calling from ______. I’m calling to ask Senator_____ to support diplomacy with Iran by NOT signing the Menendez-Graham letter. This dangerous letter would tie our negotiators’ hands and make it harder to reach a realistic agreement with Iran. Thank you!”

Please take two minutes right now to call your Senators and support diplomacy with Iran. Call toll-free 1-855-686-6927 TODAY!

After you’ve called, please let us know any feedback you received. Please report your call and invite your friends and family to call their Senators.

In Iran thousands of centrifuges were spinning, inspectors had limited access, and the threat of a war between Iran and the United States remained dangerously real. Today, every pote[...]
