Rep. Patrick Kennedy Calls Out Media for Not Covering Afghanistan Debate

From the floor of the House, Rep. Patrick Kennedy shamed the media for ignoring the debate over the war in Afghanistan, calling the Washington Press Corps. “despicable” for only have two representatives present. Kennedy was speaking in regards to Rep. Dennis Kucinich’s resolution that forced a debate on the war in Afghanistan today. Kennedy calls the press out, saying they care more about the ethics scandal surrounding Rep. Eric Massa than a war that has cost nearly a thousand American lives, countless lives of Afghans and has cost billions of dollars. (Source)
