Bob Edgar: Remembering a Friend and Colleague

Win Without War joins the chorus of voices mourning the sudden loss of Bob Edgar and in commemorating his lifelong dedication to public service. Bob was a founding Co-Chair of the Win Without War coalition and his leadership was instrumental in the fight against the Iraq War.

“We are all deeply saddened by Bob’s sudden passing,” said Coalition Co-Chair Susan Shaer. “I was proud to serve with Bob at the beginning of Win Without War. Bob was a champion for peace whose graceful demeanor for controversial issues, strategic saavy, and brilliant bonhomie were second to none. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family and his colleagues at Common Cause.”

“Bob was a stalwart and tireless advocate for peace, social justice and human rights,” added Coalition Co-Chair David Cortright. “He will be sorely missed. We are all shocked and saddened by this sudden loss.”
