Last week — as the U.S. fought a devastating pandemic, economic collapse, rampant unemployment, and a housing crisis — Congress greenlit almost three quarters of a trillion dollars for the already-out-of-control Pentagon budget. It didn’t have to be this way.

Senators Sanders, Markey, and Warren, and Representatives Pocan, Lee, and Jayapal introduced amendments to the Fiscal Year (FY) 2021 National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) to cut the Pentagon budget by 10%, and invest those funds instead in critical human needs. If one these members of Congress represents you, thank them for their leadership today!

At the end of the day, the amendments received 93 votes in the House and 23 in the Senate. This level of support would have been unthinkable a few years ago — a testament to the power of our movement. But it wasn’t enough. Now, it’s time to tell your members of Congress how you feel about their votes.

Below, you will find a list of all the members of Congress who voted to cut the Pentagon budget and invest instead in our communities. If your members’ names are here, be sure to thank them for their support! If not, it’s time to hold them accountable.
