End the Siege of Gaza - Protest Sign

Washington – In response to the Senate’s votes on S.J.Res. 111, 113, and 115, to block a series of arms sales to the Israeli government, Win Without War Government Relations Director, Eric Eikenberry, released the following statement:

“Today, 19 Senate Democrats sent a clear message to President Biden and the incoming Trump administration: It’s time to use U.S. leverage to end this war, protect civilians, and bring hostages home.

“The momentum building against a blank check-approach for the ongoing devastation of Gaza is undeniable. Earlier this year, just 11 senators voted to request a simple human rights report on the Israeli government’s actions there. Now, a growing coalition has taken a stand to block weapons sales, recognizing that U.S. complicity in the atrocities in Gaza and the widening regional war cannot continue.

“From here, Congress has to keep up the pressure. The path forward is clear: protect human life, demand accountability, and reject policies that perpetuate endless war and instability for Palestinians, Israelis, and beyond.”
