Washington – Win Without War Executive Director Sara Haghdoosti released the following statement responding to reports of Israeli military strikes on Iran:

“Last night’s reported Israeli military attack on Iran is the latest unacceptable turn in the dangerous tit-for-tat that risks a full-scale regional war. While we are grateful that initial reports indicate the lack of an immediate risk of retaliation by the Iranian government, the crisis is far from over and we reiterate our calls for President Biden to immediately and diplomatically deescalate the situation, including securing a lasting ceasefire in Gaza. The time for acquiescence has long been over.”
