Trump Blocks Medical Care for Injured Kids
Last Updated on September 9, 2025.
Washington – Win Without War Executive Director Sara Haghdoosti made the following statement in response to the Trump administration’s suspension of medical-humanitarian visas to Palestinians from Gaza:
“In a new low, the Trump administration is turning away injured kids seeking medical care simply because they’re Palestinian.
“The only purpose of this move is cruelty. The temporary medical-humanitarian visa program is tiny, and the barriers to access it massive, but when it worked it meant that real people – mostly kids – got real care that they desperately need. Now even that tiny ray of hope for Palestinians facing the effects of starvation and war wounds at the hands of the Israeli government has been foreclosed.
“Congress should act to reverse the administration’s decision, end U.S. support for the Israeli government’s ongoing genocide in Gaza, ensure aid and medical care get to people in Gaza, and pressure the Netanyahu government to stop the violence and pursue diplomacy to bring the remaining hostages home.”
