Washington – Win Without War President Stephen Miles released the following statement responding to growing violence across the Middle East, in Gaza, Kerman, Beirut, and the Red Sea:

“We are closely monitoring and alarmed by recent events in the Middle East. The escalating levels of violence across the region risk tipping into a full-scale regional war, with devastating consequences beyond the horrific loss of life we’ve already seen.

“The Biden Administration can and must do more to immediately deescalate the situation, starting with heeding the countless calls to secure an immediate ceasefire in Gaza. We strongly urge them to use every tool of diplomatic statecraft at their disposal to prevent a regional war and stop the current violence.”
