Washington – Win Without War Policy Director Sam Ratner released the following statement responding to the coalition letter calling for the Pentagon to implement climate transparency and oversight rules:

“The Biden administration is on the cusp of ensuring that the era of climate impunity for weapons manufacturers comes to an end. The Federal Supplier Climate Risks and Resilience Rule would allow the government to hold defense contractors accountable with stringent emissions transparency rules. 

“We urge the administration to get this rule over the finish line and claim a significant victory for the president’s climate agenda.”
